An old friend of Bob M asked if WMS could make and install a custom-made fence in his garden in Horsforth. Jim told Bob that he had rung virtually every fencing company and joiner in the area and he had found no one who would undertake the job – it being too small, so he asked if perhaps we could do it.
Bob and Stuart went along to see what the job was and found that it was a fairly straightforward paling fence required to hide a couple of water butts which Jim thought were unsightly.
So, we measured up and told Jim that we would price up the materials and get back to him which we duly did. Jim asked us to go ahead and promised a donation in return for us doing the work.
June 4th saw Stuart and Bob working on the job. Holes were excavated for the upright posts and concreted in. Jim fed us cups of tea and biscuits which were consumed whilst the quick-setting Postcrete hardened sufficiently to commence screwing on the bearers followed by the palings.
Job complete and a delighted Jim gave us a generous donation to boost WMS funds.
